No prayers please! We're too PC for that!

Where would Barack Obama be if he hadn't prayed to God to "Bless America"? The answer is simple. Running around Illinois as a wannabe politician! However, in the wild west of Weston-Super-Mare it is definitely not on for a nurse to offer to pray for a patient's recovery. It is considered totally out of line, reprehensible and fit only for the punishing tribulations that a PC kangaroo court can offer.

The nurse in question, Caroline Petrie, insists that she left the matter alone after the patient said no. However, the patient complained, or more likely just mentioned it later. This was like a red rag to a bull as far as the functionaries of North Somerset Primary Care Trust were concerned. They arched their backs and went into high dugeon. "Suspend her!" they cried! And she was. They smell blood and want it - badly. Their PC non-Christian secular caring world has been attacked. What a bunch of creeps.

Instead of telling Mrs Petrie that this is not part of the job description and having a reasoned discussion she gets a snotty manager saying "I've got a letter in one hand and an incident form in the other. You won't be able to work until we've investigated this incident".
