Paedophile Pakistani serial sex abusers sent to jail

On Friday, Mohammed Liaqat, 28, and Abid Saddique, 27, were jailed at Nottingham Crown Court after being found guilty at a trial in November of charges including rape. The judge in the case said the race of the victims and their abusers was "coincidental". So reports the BBC. And Jack Straw has come out of the politically correct closet to speak up about all this. This being the predatory paedophile abuse of gang cultured British Asians, predominately from a Pakistani Muslim background.

As with all matters relating to sex and race and culture it is difficult to know where to start. What I do know is that the powers-that-be tried to sweep it under the carpet, including Jack Straw. He redeemed himself in my eyes last night on Newsnight. But he knew even when he was Home Secretary that this was going on. He was a cabinet member until the election last year. He knew then, we now know he knows now.

Yorkshire police and other forces were in denial. Some said they would investigate but only on the hush hush. Only goes to show how infected with political stupidity (correctness is really the wrong word!) the modern police are. They cravenly said that the BNP would exploit it all. So for TEN YEARS the BNP exploited it as a conspiracy by the establishment. Even now the judge in the case is too blinkered to see that, in this particular case, the race of the victims and their abusers was anything but coincidental. They would never have dreamed of abusing Pakistani girls. The judge has a slate loose in this regard.

I've known and know people from a Muslim background. I know that the entire Islamic world is virtually similar to the entire Christian world or agnostic world or any other. Nearly all Muslims are pretty decent people, sometimes given to good deeds sometimes not. 99.9% would see such activity as being wrong. However, there is a truth that needs to be addressed. And it won't come from the politically stupid in their ivory towers.

A large number of Pakistanis living in Britain do have feelings of an anti-colonial type. It colours some of their thinking. Just as some servants rounded on their masters when the Upstairs Downstairs way of life collapsed as a result of the Second World War, so there is a residual resentment over imperialism. Britain is seen by some as a place for exploitation. Link this with modern day problems such as the radicalisation of Islamic youth, attitudes resulting from the War in Iraq and culural imperatives, such as marrying a pure bride from Pakistan, then it is perfectly possible to concoct a heady cocktail of feelings leading to such activity. The criminals now starting their jail time are no doubt highly resentful men. By not addressing the situation all sides have let the victims down.

Let us not have enquiries. Just let those who think their covering up helped come forward and admit they got it wrong. Don't all rush! The only people gloating are the BNP. They plan a demonstration in Oldham. Perhaps, instead of Giglamps Rentamouth and his UAF brigade as the sole opposition, we could get those responsible for the ten year enforced silence to arrive in Oldham and publicly say sorry. No sackcloth and ashes stuff. Just sorry will do. The victims deserve it.

Jack Straw's House of Hayseeds

Jack Straw is meddling again. Not content with waiting to see what sort of House of Commons we get after the next election, he is muttering and murmuring about the House of Lords. He should leave well alone. An elected Lords in any form will be a disaster. Just a further tranche of politicians seeking the electorate's favours and friendship.

The likelihood is that the next general election will provide us with career politicians without fault or stain. Paragons of virtue with limited value in a democratic sense. I dread to think of the outcome. Never again will the House of Commons have mavericks, independent spirits or principled campaigners. We might as well have the whole House linked to a far-eastern call centre.

Now Jack Straw is a man of delusional thought when it comes to the House of Lords. He says, "A reformed second chamber could breathe new life into Parliament while protecting the fundamental primacy of the Commons". Not in a month of Sundays. A hybrid House will be a hybrid horror. Democracy will count for nothing. It is not democratic just to stuff the House of Lords with list-voted second-string politicians.

What is at stake is the loss of fine minds and those with a sense of contribution to give and a willingness to share knowledge. I cannot for the life of me think why it is wrong to have scientists, film directors, authors, playwrights, actors, farmers, diplomats, policeman et al in the House of Lords all giving some ability to revise legislaton, to impart some actual experience to aid parliamentary debate. Jack Straw, in some vainglorious attempt to ingratiate himself with the public by displaying "democratic credentials", just plays into the hands of those seeking to emasculate the second chamber.

I have no desire to have somebody knock on my door seeking election to a "revised chamber". Election for what exactly? To put my views forward? I have a MP for that and I can easily write to a peer on any subject under the sun. That's the great advantage of the House of Lords. Somebody knows about something. Yet Jack Straw, in his "Justice Secretary" role, keeps up this appalling mantra for change. "A reformed second chamber could breathe new life into Parliament while protecting the fundamental primacy of the Commons," he burbles. Hardly a change that will assist the country out of its current dire distress.

All that this will do, this crazy desire for change, will be to unleash a load of new politicians in pursuit of a reason to be there. They will squabble with MPs over who has democratic primacy, they will offer token revision of bills if they are government supporters and they will go to the cliff edge if they are not. According to Straw's plans, they will have fifteen years to do something and then go regardless.

If you want a constitutional crisis in the making, then vote for this second tier of wannabe governors. Tell Jack Straw you love the idea. My desire is for it to be left well alone. I've enough trouble worrying about the selection and election of on-message greasy pole sycophants to the House of Commons. That is the real problem facing the country. A 1984 intake in a 2010 election!

Gordon Brown the "nothing wrong" Prime Minister

Gordon Brown says he did "nothing wrong". He claimed £6,500 in expenses to pay his brother for a cleaner. Something wrong there!

Hazel Blears says she did "nothing wrong". She claimed three different properties were her "second home". Something wrong there!

Jack Straw says he did "nothing wrong". He claimed for council tax paid at the full rate - when he was getting a 50% discount. Something wrong there!

All three dodgy customers with a thick skin for spin and deception. Their moral compasses have hit magnetic north and south at the same time.

There are others too. The list goes on. Gordon Brown thinks a clocking on scheme will do the trick. No it won't. We want our MPs paid properly with provision for proper expenses. All out in the open. It should have stopped years ago, when all this first surfaced. So much for criticising John Major. He never so much as got Terry a cleaner. His brother would have been mortified.

Sir Stuart Bell, who sits on the House of Commons supervisory body, said he believed the leak had breached the Data Protection Act and may refer it to the information commissioner. Don't waste your time, Sir Stuart, or more public money. We have a right to know if our politicians are corrupt or are behaving corruptly. This is the information the information commissioner should know about.

Jack Straw's fish out of water feeling!

Jack Straw is the kind of politician who is rendered speechless in front of unadulterated truth. With him, it causes something similar to that of a fish that has been rudely hurled onto the beach by a freak wave. No freak waves this week, but on Tuesday morning I heard Straw on the Today Programme in conversation with "a prisoner". Evan Davis asked the inmate what was generally the problem. The prisoner, a lucid and straightforward guy, said he thought his crime, drug smuggling, was caused by two factors. His greed and the ever-increasing poppy harvest in Afghanistan, giving him the ability to make money. Davis asked Straw what he thought. Time for the fish impression!

The prisoner was right. He admits to being greedy, and sort of suggests that he should be helped. We have anger management courses, sessions for smokers and drinkers, and of course drug addicts. Why not for greedy people too? Possibly if these were offered to a variety of people, we might cut crime.

My anger at the greedy finance guys who used the so-called sub-prime market to enrich themselves could be assuaged by such courses. Greed management - sounds good! These sub-prime cowboys were greedy, preying on ignorant people who were taken in by the blandishments. There is a fine dividing line between the two kinds of greed!

With regard to Afghanistan, we are fighting the wrong enemy. Tribal warlords who may or may not know where Osama Bin Laden's cave is are no great enemy to the West. Their vast poppy harvest is, and all the business emanating from it. Jack Straw has no clue how to deal with this. My cynical side suggests that tackling the problem may cause a whole raft of agencies to collapse, ending with the demise of the sniffer dogs. Who wants to be put out of well-paid employment? Keep the poppies growing, keep the soldiers dying, keep "the War on Terror" going.

Isn't there a better way? If the prisoner is so clear on this, I'd give him a period to try it out. After all, he could be better than the fish impersonator!
