Mixed sex handshakes banned

Things have got so bad with political correctness that I immediately jumped to the conclusion that a link on the BBC's website was directed at some metropolitan council somewhere in Britain. I just don't like thinking like this. Should I be relieved it's not in Britain but in Somalia? I don't think so. Because people in any part of the world should not have their personal liberties proscribed by a bunch of closeted hypocrites. The group proposing this nonsense is called al-Shabab. A select band of delectibles! It's their sort of social engineering that encourages young men in Derby to commit unspeakable crimes.

Chatting in public is to be banned too! Pity chatting in private by al-Shabab can't be banned also.

Geert Wilders sends Islamic extremists wildly wild

The presence of far-right maverick Dutchman on the shores of the UK has sent certain Muslim fantatics into vituperate overdrive. 20-odd pyjama-clad bearded wonders came onto the streets to wave placards displaying such choice slogans as "Islam will dominate the world" and "Freedom can go to hell" which I take as a pun on the Freedom Party's name.

We are told by the high and mighty New Labour Regime that they are appalled at Wilders being here. Personally I don't find his views attractive, but I do believe in free speech, the right of personal viewpoints. The sort of right that allows hotheads to salivate about Taliban-inspired Shariah law.

New Labour huffs and puffs about Wilders but remains sanctimoniously silent about the incitement offered by these 20 bawlers. More hypocrisy, more double standards. New Labour to a tee!

Street fighting in Harrow

It seems to me that the English Defence League as they call themselves are no more than a rabble. Their central point may have some validity, that it is not right for people to come out on the streets to jeer at the bodies of returning soldiers or to stand on street corners preaching hate. However, any coherent message they may have is totally lost when about 50 shaven-headed protesters see fit to taunt and bait Muslims en masse outside a mosque. That is rather like pouring oil on troubled waters, or more likely high octane petrol.



I checked out the English Defence League. Their website has a forum. When I clicked on they had a Google ad for the "International Muslim Matrimonial Site!". A smiling girl in a hijab appears. Apparently you can "Browse Photos Now!".

So all's well in love and war, is it?

Birmingham bust-up for anti-Islamic protest

Birmingham has been targeted as a suitable place for a march and counter-march leading to a punchup. The so-called English Defence League decided to march down Broad Street demonstrating against Islamic fundamentalism. The so-called Unite Against Fascism group thought they would turn up to stop them. 33 arrests were made and shoppers disadvantaged and businesses put to trouble securing their premises. Peaceful it was not.

The English Defence League is apparently a bunch of football types keen to eradicate the streets of manic preachers of the Islamic terror type. The UAF is keen to silence anyone they think is a fascist and to these ends they are prepared to use violence if necessary. If the government got a grip over the way these anti-British preachers are free to roam around preaching hatred and violence in the name of Islam we would not have to fear people taking a more virile approach.

Most Muslims are no doubt sick and tired of fanatics branding the ills of the world onto the backs of the British people. But we will all be sick and tired if this sort of thing carries on on a regular basis. As with many things currently happening, the answer lies mainly in the hands of the government.
