John Walker of The Walker Brothers dies aged 67

Just seen this on the BBC website - John Walker, one of the founders of 1960s group The Walker Brothers, has died at the age of 67. If there was one group that takes me back to the Sixties it is the Walker Brothers. The whole sound is just the epitome of the decade. I'd choose one of their records if I ever got on Desert Island Discs (in my dreams). This one would probably be top of the short list -

Brings back memories - Ready Steady Go on Rediffusion - "London's Television" as it was called. Also shown on ATV of course!

Dave Dee dies

My sixties record collection has definitely got Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich in there. Probably The legend of Xanadu is my favourite. So it is with sadness I heard that David Harman, otherwise known as Dave Dee himself, has died at the age of 65, following a three-year battle with cancer. RIP.
