Black box from 2009 Air France crash found



French investigators searching undersea debris have located and identifed the memory unit from the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) from Air France Flight 447. It was raised and lifted on board the ship Ile de Sein by the Remora 6000 ROV Sunday, May 1, 2011. Flight 447 crashed into the Atlantic Ocean en route from Rio de Janeiro to Paris on June 1, 2009
